The Haphazard Crafter....
Crafty For Less is my effort to do one of the things that I love- but never find the time to do- and that is crafts!
The crafts you will generally see are usually pretty simple and straightforward, and most are easy enough for kids to help with! In fact, my 4 year old helps with a lot of my projects. which is why they aren't perfect. And it's why I love them. I am not perfect, or a perfectionist, so if something is slightly crooked or not 'just perfect', I'm okay with it. Many of my ideas are borrowed from other sites and blogs ( I try to give credit when I can track down where I saw it!). Please feel free to take my projects and make them your own too!
The one thing you won't see me do is anything that involves a sewing machine! I admit it, I can not sew! I do own a sewing machine. I might even be able to turn it on. But anything beyond that... yeah...I can't sew. Most of my materials come from Dollar Stores (of various names), Walmart and even the hardware store on occasion.
I work full time from home as a marketing and communications director for an internet company as well as being a professional resume writer (so yes, two jobs!). Add 2 kids, a husband who works for me (and as such is home with me all the time), 11 cats (yes, eleven, it's not a typo) and a dog... well, you may see why my love of crafts has fallen by the wayside.
I am new to the mommy/ crafter blog world (although NOT new to blogging in general, as I run the blog for the company I work for). So if you see me doing something I shouldn't or.. not doing something I SHOULD... feel free to drop me a line and let me know!
