Saturday evening we went out to grab dinner, and since we were passing by the Dollar Tree...well, we can't pass up that opportunity, can we?
As you may know they have these great skulls! I got one black and one silver. I toured the rest of the store and found two... well... I'm not sure what they are. I will call them large bud vases for lack of a proper term.
I thought I would spray paint them (the inside of the vase). But that didn't work so well (I didnt have any acrylic type paint on hand, okay??? LOL). I did eventually get a good portion of the spray paint to stick, but not a good, solid coating.
So then I was stuck trying to think of what I could do. So I found some purple tissue paper. This might work...
I shoved the tissue paper down in the vases. Looks kind of neat, actually with the purple peeking out from behind the black. Then superglued the skulls onto the top. Then, for good measure, stuck candles in the top of the skulls. I think it best NOT to light the candles, but they make a cute (and easy!)decoration!
