This is an oldie but goodie... making candle holders out of those adorable little mini pumpkins you can get just about anywhere. My local grocery store had them 3/$1!
Cost $1 for 3 pumpkins!
Stuff you need: pumpkins, knife, spoon, candles, aluminum foil
I like to put tea lights in these, because they are easy to take out and replace! You can also use votive candles, or even tapers if you were so inclined, I suppose....
Step 1: Draw a circle slightly larger than your candle
Step 2: Carve the pumpkin! Scoop out all the guts (just like the big ones!)
Step 3: Place your candle and light it!
Note: Make sure you place some aluminum foil under the candles. Although these pumpkins will last several weeks, they will get soft on the bottom. You don't want the residue to damage your wood furniture (or in my case electronics!)
