Halloween Vase

Sorry I had to black out part of the background, but trust me, its a mess over there! ;)

The vase is a pink - which gives more of an easter vibe than a halloween vibe if you know what I mean. But since my hubby brings me flowers fairly often, and I dont necessarily want to paint my vase, I needed a plan to temporarily fix that. The Halloween ribbon I found at Walmart did the job nicely! I used duct tape (haha what else?) to secure it to the vase (I made little tubes of the tape- sticky side out, so that you dont see that tape when you look at the vase).

the pumpkins were found at Dollar General for $3 each. the candle holder was a walmart find and a couple of bucks. The ribbon, also at walmart $2 per 9 foot roll (got 2 rolls). total cost: $12, and I have ribbon leftover to use on some pots outside.

Another easy idea for kids to do... too! The dollar store has fake black roses... I may get a few to add to my bouquet next time I'm out ; )
